The Libyan Iron and Steel Company (LISCO) has won the Middle East Business Leadership Award (MEBLA) of 2016 for the best exceptional leadership at times of emergency and crises.

The award ceremony was held in Intercontinental London Park Lane on Friday, February 17, 2017.

British and international business leaders as well as international figures, who work in the field of business, industry and finance, attended the ceremony.

At the ceremony, the LISCO was given special tribute for the stability it maintained as a successful company working effectively with full-scale strategic administration despite the instability and lack of security in Libya.

“The award is a victory and a motivational prize for the company and its administration, which worked so hard day and night over the years to keep the company’s potential high and keep its production rate ascending amid tough situations in the country on the one hand, and to commit to the social role in Libya by opening its facilities for controlling the crisis on the other hand.” The LISCO’s media official, Mohammed Al-Khamariya, remarked.

LISCO won the MEBLA out of 123 companies in different industrial, business, and financial fields nominated from 17 countries.
