The High Council of State stated that they have been following recent security developments threatening the security of Tripoli by armed groups with great concern.

The Council stressed that these events coincided with the recent attacks by Dignity Operation forces and ISIS terrorists on Bunyan Marsoos fighters in the city of Sirte.

In a statement issued by the Council, they required the Presidential Council to apply what was previously promised by them in terms of carrying out their responsibilities regarding maintaining Libyan sovereignty and maintaining the rule of law. The Council also called for a united stand to prevent those they described as opportunists from any of the different parties from dragging the country into anarchy and chaos.
