Mustafa AbuShagoor, who is a member of the House of Representatives has stated that the United Nations report on the provision of arms by the UAE to Hafter is “Clear evidence of the interference by the UAE in the internal affairs of Libya," adding that these weapons are being used to "kill Libyans."
AbuShagoor concluded by saying, "Weapons provided by the UAE to Heftar’s Dignity forces are increasing the Libyan crisis," citing information released in the UN report, such as the UAE supplying Heftar with MI-24B attack helicopters made in Belorussia, 195 tactical armed vehicles and Air Tractor aircraft.
