The Chief of Staff of Hefter’s forces AbdulRaziq Nadori, who is also the appointed military governor of the eastern region, released a decision to appoint AbdulJalil Hamad as mayor of Qammenis.
This decision has substituted the elected mayor of the city for a military officer and wouldn’t be the first time as Nadori has in the past replaced a large number of elected mayors in the eastern region, substituting them with new military figures or civilians who strongly support Hefter’s dignity operation.
