The National Salvation Government (SG) of the General National Congress (GNC) has issued a statement shaming the Presidential Council and accusing it of being a degradation for Libya and the Libyans.

Libya's Ansar Al-Sharia, based in Benghazi, has declared dissolution from the main group. In a statement on Saturday, the Libyan Ansar Al-Sharia said it officially dissolved itself after being weakened by the ongoing fighting, in which it sacrificed several fighters and leaders.

Libyan cleric Abdul Baset Ghwela has totally denied links to Manchester Arena suicide bomber, Salman Abedi, saying claims made by the New York Times were false. Contacted by email, he told the Libya Observer that he has never met with Abedi before.

Misratan brigades aligned with the Salvation Government of Khalifa Al-Ghawiel have pulled back from Tripoli International Airport after two days of fierce against rival groups loyal to the UN-installed Presidency Council.

The Turkish Foreign Ministry has condemned Tripoli clashes and escalation of violence that took place in the Libyan capital of Tripoli on Friday. “We believe that the only way to settle differences of views is through dialogue and conciliation.” The ministry said in a press release on Saturday. It called on all Libyans to refrain from resorting to violent actions that will damage the security and stability of the country and its capital in particular. “We strongly emphasize the need to speedily reduce the military escalation which is at dangerous levels in various regions of Libya and to achieve ceasefire throughout the country.” The press release read.

The Libyan Postal and Telecommunications Company has successfully restored mobile coverage and landline services to the city of Sirte. The reconnection to such services comes after a cut for more than two years after the terrorist organization ISIS cut off telecommunications services from the city after taking control on the 15th February 2015.

The Presidential Council of the UN proposed government denounced the bombing of the eastern city of Derna by the Egyptian air force, without coordinating with what they described as the legitimate authorities represented by the Government of National Accord, the government recognized by the Arab, African and international governments. The Presidential Council clarified in their statement that they reject any action that violates the sovereignty of Libyan lands, no matter what is seen as justification. The Presidential Council concluded by offering their condolences to the Egyptian people and the families of the victims in Minya, Egypt.

Ahli Tripoli will have a two-day closed camp in Cairo to prepare to take on the Zimbabwean Caps united for the third round in the African Champions League at the Harare stadium. Al-Ahli Tripoli squad is expected to arrive in Cairo on Tuesday before traveling to Zimbabwe at dawn on Tuesday to face CAPS United. CAPS beat Algeria's United Capital 2-1 in the last round.

Both the Interior Ministry and the Ministry of Justice of the UN proposed government announced in a joint statement that the two ministries coordinated to receive all the prisoners who were found inside the Hadba prison. The statement said the prisoners have been transferred to a safe place and that the Attorney General in Tripoli had been informed. The statement concluded by reassuring the families of the prisoners by stating that they are in good health.

The Interior Minister of the UN proposed government Arif Al-Khoja, issued a decree appointing Colonel Mohammed Al-Damjah as General Directorate of the Central Security at the Interior Ministry. The Facebook page for the Security Information Office published a copy of the resolution. The resolution stated in its first article that Col. Mohammad Al-Damjah was assigned the duties of the General Directorate of Central Security in the Ministry of Interior and the second resolution being that he would begin his responsibilities from the date stated on the decree.

Tripoli University announced that all final exams for all scientific departments of the university would be postponed without giving any reasons. The university reported on its website that it had postponed the exams for the said departments until further notice, calling for those affected to be compliant and take necessary action on the decision.

Security sources from the city of Bani Walid said a security brigade, on a routine reconnaissance mission clashed with ISIS fighters in the Shmeikh area south of Bani Walid, killing four and the rest fled evading capture.

The Central Bank of Libya (CBL) announced in a statement, the launch of the Electronic Payment Services Project by using the mobile phone in partnership with Madar Company. The CBL stated that the project will be ready by the end of August.
