The first Arab Gulf Oil Company flights took to the sky on Tuesday from Benina International Airport to the oil fields after a three-year suspension. Air traffic returned to Matiga airport hours after flights were diverted to Misrata airport Late Wednesday night. Flights were rerouted and airspace closed after a number of air traffic control staff departed the airport due to the actions of an armed group that stormed the building. There is yet to be any comment from the airport administration or Civil Aviation Authority. The information office of Misrata International Airport confirmed on its official Facebook page that the transfer of flights from Matiga to Misrata Airport was due to security conditions, without giving further clarification.

Idriss Boufayed, a member of the High Council of State has been quoted as saying "The head of the High Council of State has failed a great failure in the performance of his duties as required of him and as hoped for". In an article posted on his personal Facebook account, Boufayed called for an "immediate suspension" of duties by the president of the council, AbdulRahman Swehli and added that the first deputy should take over the administration of the council for two or three months until a new president is elected within said period. Emergency elections should be held within one week, Boufayad added.

Zliten Municipal Council has approved the provision of submersible water pumps for six water wells in the city, costing a total of 39 thousand Libyan Dinar. This approval comes as part of the support provided by the council to the city's Water and Sanitation Company to ensure the continuity of water supply in the city's water network. According to the information department of the municipality, the Municipal Council has previously provided and maintained water and sanitation pumps in the city worth more than 200 thousand dinars.

Sources close to the family of Dr. Mohammed AlMadani, the former political and media advisor to Khalifa Hefter, confirmed the news of his return to his family after being arrested in Benghazi for ten days. No explanation was given as to the identification of the person or group that arrested him, or the reasons behind the arrest. AlMadani was abducted ten days ago by an armed force under the command of Hefter according to eyewitnesses.

Fayez Sarraj, President of the UN proposed Presidential Council, has been quoted as saying at a conference of EU leaders on illegal immigration held in Brussels today, "Libya completely rejects the idea of settling refugees on its territory. We do at the same time welcome the support of existing housing centers and continuing efforts for the repatriation of migrants to their countries of origin".
