Nineteen sports federations submitted a memorandum to the President of the Presidential Council Fayez Sarraj demanding financial support as soon as possible.
The memorandum submitted last week, said that the sports federations have yet to receive any budget in nearly four years which has caused many difficulties. The memorandum noted that there will be severe consequences as a result of this neglect if the situation continues adding that the federations could not pay up their international contributions which has resulted in their withdrawal from most continental and Arab competitions.
The demand for support was set for the end of July as a deadline or else the federations will freeze sports activities in total.
