A Tripoli boy battling leukemia was one of the lucky children to have his dream come true.

Ala Shaeban has always dreamed of visiting Al-Ahli-Tripoli Sports Club and meet his favourite players. Now his dream has come true, thanks to the club managers and players who were happy to grant his wish and bring delight and joy to him and his family.

Ala was invited to the club on Monday, on the day of a friendly match between Al-Ahly and Al-Shat.

The little boy was hosted by the club management and had the chance to meet his hero Mohamed Al-Ganodi, a striker, who escorted him on a tour inside the club facilities.

He was able to visit the players’ changing room and the main stadium where he met the rest of the team.

Ala received a card membership, a jersey with his name on it and a signed football.

Wonderful experience like this could make life better for children who are seriously or terminally ill, and inspire youngsters in Libya and beyond.

The club is the second most successful Libyan club in history, having won 12 Libyan Premier League titles, six Libyan Football Cups and a Libyan SuperCup. Al-Ahli is known as the leader of Libyan Football clubs and has the largest number of fans in the country.
