A doctor, trapped inside Ganfouda in Benghazi with the besieged families, has confirmed that the girl, Fathiya, who suffered fatal burns due to a UAE airstrike on her family’s house, has regained her sight.

Speaking on the phone with Al-Nabaa TV Wednesday, the doctor said that Fathiya’s condition was very difficult, however, now she is recovering gradually and the burns are healing fast.

“She is being treated by expired medicines and herbal medications.” The doctor told the channel.

The girl suffered the burns after her family’s house was bombed by the Emirati warplanes in support of Khalifa Haftar’s militias on November 12. The burns on her face nearly sent her into partial blindness, besides the body burns.

Two of her siblings and her father were killed in the UAE airstrike.
