The General National Congress expressed in a statement on Thursday appreciation for the efforts exerted by the revolutionaries, the political parties, the elders’ councils, and other military and social institutions and municipalities, which all aimed at putting an end to bloodshed allowing the displaced to safely return back home.

However, the GNC expressed concern about the recent ceasefire agreements and reconciliations conducted by some of the military battalions and municipalities without consulting the legislative and administrative authorities in the country.

The GNC, therefore, stressed that those legitimate institutions shoulder full responsibility of any consequences that may result from those agreements.
