The High Council of State (HCS) formed Tuesday a committee to represent it in the discussions of amendments to the Libyan political agreement with the Tobruk-based House of Representatives' counterpart.

The new order named the committee as the "committee tasked with amending the political agreement." saying that the committee will include 13 members headed by HCS's member, Faraj Saleh.

The committee will be tasked with proposing amendments to be added to the Libyan Political Agreement (LPA) as well as to strike accord agreements with the HoR as per the LPA draft.

The first deputy of the HCS, Mohammed Emazzeb, was tasked to supervise and follow up the committee's work and progress.

Last month, the HoR appointed a 22-member committee to represent it at the discussions of amending the LPA draft.
