The Head of the Salvation Government, Prime Minister Khalifa Al-Ghweil received the Ukrainian Ambassador, Mykola Nahorny and the Third Secretary, Oleksandr Siroshtan, yesterday in Tripoli.

Al-Ghweil checked on the health conditions of the Ukrainian diplomatic mission after they were subjected to an armed-robbery attack by a group of outlaws in Al-Maya town in western Libya, describing the incident as a criminal irresponsible act.

Meanwhile, Ambassador Mykola Nahorny extended his thankfulness and appreciation for the security departments and personnel of the SG, which exquisitely managed to contain the situation and to protect the mission from those outlaws.

The meeting also touched upon the mutual relations between Ukraine and Libya and the possibilities of building more bridges in different domains, stressing that the two countries’ friendly relationship lies intact of such individual criminality.

Ambassador Mykola Nahorny and his assistants were driving from Tripoli to Tunisia on Friday when armed gunmen loyal to the so-called Tribes Army, an armed wing of Dignity Operation, stopped them in Al-Maya and robbed their Hyundai car, laptop, telephones and LYD 1500.
