Sixth Awssu International Beach Volleyball Championship has kick-started in Zuwara city with local and international teams participating in the three-day competition.

Teams from Spain, Morocco, Venezuela, Tunisia and Serbia are taking part in the event that is supervised by the General Authority of Youth and Sports as well as Zuwara Jazeera club.

The local teams will be those placed at the first six spots on the Libyan Beach Volleyball League and will be controlled by the Libyan Volleyball Federation.

The matches will be divided into morning and evening rounds.

The first match of the first morning was for the Serbian team 2-0 against Misrata team, while the second match was for Zuwara team A 2-1 against Tripoli team.

In the third match, Zuwara team B won 2-1 over Jazeera team B, whereas the fourth match saw Spain's team B win 2-0 over Jazeera team C.

The fifth and final morning game saw the Libyan team win 2-0 against Benghazi team.

Matches will continue in the evening.
