Interior Minister says Libya repatriated more than 10.000 immigrants in 2023

The Minister of Interior of the Government of National Unity, Emad Al-Trabelsi, said Libya had repatriated 10.069 illegal immigrants last year in coordination with the International Organization for Migration (IOM), expressing his hope that this number will double this year if the necessary capabilities and conditions are available.


Brega company assures fuel availability during Ramadan

The Brega Oil and Gas Company has assured consumers that there will be no fuel shortages during the holy month of Ramadan.

According to a press statement by the company's spokesman, Ahmed Al-Maslati, supply operations from the Misrata and Zawiya warehouses to the capital and its suburbs are proceeding normally.

"Any interruption in distribution was due to bad weather conditions and the difficulty of entering and connecting some oil tankers," the company's official added.



Murder of several men takes place in Abu Salim in Tripoli

Identical sources from the Abu Salim area in Tripoli said that 11 people, including brothers, were killed on Saturday night, in what appeared to be a targeted killing operation, while the victims were present in a vacation house in the Al-Hadba Project area of the Abu Salim municipality.

Some sources described what happened as a "massacre," while they did not determine the reason for committing this crime, as it was not possible to obtain official information. Libyan social media circulated conflicting information about the incident since Sunday morning.


Libya launches Full-Day School Project for first time

The Ministry of Education and Technical Education announced on Tuesday the launch of the Full-Day School Project, a first for Libya. 

In its first phase, the project will target 12 model schools in different parts of the country.

Education Minister Musa Al-Maqrif said at a press conference that the initiative aims to provide 800 hours of instruction per year to 3,300 elementary school students.

The project will commence by targeting a sample of schools in Benghazi and Derna and later expand to include all schools in the country.


Health Ministry forms committee to provide treatment for cancer patients inside Libya

The Ministry of Health has confirmed the formation of a committee to identify Libyan cancer patients receiving treatment in Tunisia, with the aim of providing them with treatment services inside Libya.

In a statement Sunday, the ministry indicated that the National Institute for Cancer Treatment in the Municipality of Sabratha had received its allocation of medicines to treat cancer patients.
