Menfi, Congolese President review Libya's national reconciliation efforts

The Head of the Presidential Council, Mohammed Menfi, discussed with the Congolese President and Chairman of the African Union High-Level Committee on Libya, Denis Sassou Nguesso, developments in the national reconciliation file.

The meeting, which was held in the Ghanaian capital, Accra, touched on activating the role of the African Union in the course of the reconciliation process to ensure the achievement of comprehensive national reconciliation under the supervision of the African Union and in cooperation with the Presidential Council.


Nigerian company wants to import oil from Libya

Nigeria's Dangote refinery has been in talks with Libya to secure crude for the 650,000 barrels per day (bpd) plant and will also seek Angolan oil, a senior executive said as reported by Reuters on Saturday.

"We are talking to Libya about importing crude," Dangote refinery senior executive Devakumar Edwin told Reuters late on Saturday, adding that they will talk to Angola as well and some other countries in Africa."


Libyan delegation arrives for Paris 2024 Olympics

GNU announces academic calendar for 2024-2025

The Ministry of Education in the Government of National Unity has announced (GNU) the start of the new academic year 2024-2025 for primary and secondary education on September 1.

The announcement follows Minister of Education Musa Al-Maqrif's Decision No. (984) for 2024, published by the ministry on its official Facebook page.

The ministry also released a letter from the Director General of the Educational Curriculum and Research Center, which includes detailed schedules for study and exams for all educational levels (primary and secondary) for the upcoming academic year.
