EU supports search rescue teams in Derna with ground-penetrating radars
The European Union has provided relief teams in Derna with ground-penetrating radars to search for any victims who may still be buried under the rubble.
The EU mission in Libya said the Criminal Investigation Department is on the ground, working as part of the national response efforts.
"Thanks to the ground-penetrating radars provided by the European Union, the teams showed immediate operational readiness to help search for victims," the statement read.

Libya among countries with highest water intake
Libya has the highest rate of water consumption in the Arab region and the world, estimated at 2,392 litres per capita per day, a recent UN publication reveals.
According to the bulletin, Libya consumes more than 80% of its renewable water resources despite being one of the most threatened countries in the world by water stress.
"Libya uses three times the average per capita consumption in the Arab world," the circular states.
Education Ministry says operating budget for schools has reached 85 million dinars
The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education, Masouda Al-Aswad, said that the operating budget of educational institutions for the new academic year amounted to about 85 million dinars.
