The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) issued its weather bulletin for the next three days starting from today, Saturday, indicating an increase in clouds from time to time tomorrow in the northeastern regions, accompanied by rain that may be good in some areas of the Green Mountain, sometimes accompanied by thunderstorms, while the weather remains relatively stable in the rest of the regions.

Libya introduces market controls ahead of Ramadan
The Ministry of Economy and Trade has unveiled new measures to stabilize markets and secure food supplies ahead of the holy month of Ramadan.
Minister Mohamed Al-Huwaij instructed the committee monitoring basic commodity prices to prioritize the importation of essential food items and expedite the opening of letters of credit.
In a high-level meeting, Al-Huwaij stressed the need to maintain the availability of key goods, control price inflation, and protect consumers. The minister also called for increased cooperation with regulatory bodies to prevent monopolies and price speculation.
Libya Cup returns after two-season hiatus
The Libyan Football Federation’s (LFF) Competition Committee has announced the return of the Libya Cup, marking the 24th edition of the tournament after a two-season break.
In a circular addressed to registered clubs, the committee confirmed that participation is mandatory for all 35 Premier League teams.
Meanwhile, clubs in the first, second, and third divisions have been given a three-day window to voluntarily confirm their involvement.
Libya moves to preserve cultural heritage with UNESCO support
The Ministry of Culture and Knowledge Development is working with UNESCO to have traditional dishes and archaeological sites recognized on the World Heritage List.

Dbeibah awards medics of Tripoli Eye Hospital
Prime Minister Abdul Hamid Dbeibah honored on Saturday the medical, paramedical and administrative personnel at the Eye Hospital in Tripoli, in appreciation of the exceptional efforts they made during 2024.
Dbeibah hailed in a speech during a ceremony celebrating Tripoli Eye Hospital as one of the most prominent medical institutions in Libya what he described as the achievements made by the hospital, which included examining 200,000 patients and performing 12,000 surgeries in 2024.
