Tunisian minister calls for pharmaceutical collaboration with Libya and France

Tunisian Health Minister Mustafa Al-Farjani has called for enhanced collaboration with Libya and France to build a regional pharmaceutical industrial force. 

Speaking at the first Tunisian-Libyan-French forum on joint health sector development, Al-Farjani emphasized the potential for a complementary partnership. He highlighted France's advanced biotechnology expertise, Tunisia's skilled workforce in pharmaceuticals and healthcare, and Libya's need for healthcare reconstruction as key factors for cooperation.

NOC puts 22 onshore and offshore areas for explorations

The technical committee assigned by the National Oil Corporation (NOC) said it would offer 22 new blocks in onshore and offshore areas for exploration in a public tender that the NOC intended to present to international oil companies during the coming period.

This came during the eleventh meeting of the Supreme Council for Energy and Water Affairs, which was held on Thursday at the headquarters of the NOC in Tripoli, headed by the Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity, Abdul Hamid Dbeibah.

Libya defeats Rwanda, revives hopes for AFCON qualification

The Libyan national football team secured a crucial 1-0 victory against Rwanda on Thursday evening in Kigali during the fifth round of qualifiers for the African Cup of Nations (AFCON), set to take place in Morocco next year.

Substitute player Fahd Al-Mesmari scored the decisive goal in the 83rd minute, earning Libya three valuable points.

Following this win, Libya now sits fourth in the group with four points. Nigeria leads with ten points, followed by Benin with six points, and Rwanda in third with five points.

Libya braces for heavy rainfall and flash floods

The National Safety Authority has raised its preparedness level across all branches nationwide following warnings of severe weather conditions. The National Meteorological Centre has forecast heavy rainfall in the Greater Tripoli region starting Thursday, with the potential for thunderstorms and flash flooding in several areas.

In a statement, the authority emphasized the need for urgent interventions to safeguard lives and property. Coordination with security forces, emergency services, and relief agencies has been intensified to ensure a comprehensive response to any emergencies that may arise.

The National Center for Disease Control (NCDC) has officially launched its seasonal influenza vaccination campaign on,Sunday.
