Libya’s Grand Mufti opposes EU migrant resettlement plans
The Grand Mufti of Libya, Sheikh Al-Sadiq Al-Gharyani, has called on Libyan authorities to reject European requests to resettle irregular migrants in the country.
Speaking on his weekly program, Islam and Life on Al-Tanasuh TV, he warned that such a move could lead to instability and pose serious security, moral, and economic risks.
Al-Gharyani criticized European nations for preventing African migrants from entering their territories while pressuring Libya and other countries to accommodate them.
NOC reassures global energy companies about contracting mechanisms
The Chairman of the Libyan National Oil Corporation (NOC), Masoud Suleiman, reassured the heads of major global energy companies regarding the contracting mechanisms with the NOC.
Suleiman confirmed that contracts would be conducted according to the highest standards of transparency and under competitive contractual terms. He emphasized that the NOC understands and protects the rights of its partners, prioritizing their interests based on the principle of shared profit, according to a statement by the NOC.
