The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) expected, chances of light rain this morning in some areas of the northeast (from Benghazi to Al-Marj and Green Mountain), with relative activity of the western wind in the northern areas of the country, especially the coastal ones, and their speed will decrease from noon tomorrow.
CBL and IMF complete preparations for "Article IV" consultations
The Central Bank of Libya (CBL) completed preparatory meetings of "Article IV" consultations to kick off in April 2025 with the International Monetary Fund (IMF). The meetings were held in Tunisia over five days between the technical teams of the CBL, the Libyan ministries and financial and economic institutions, representatives of the private sector, and the IMF expert mission.
Libya defeats Rwanda, revives hopes for AFCON qualification
The Libyan national football team secured a crucial 1-0 victory against Rwanda on Thursday evening in Kigali during the fifth round of qualifiers for the African Cup of Nations (AFCON), set to take place in Morocco next year.

Libya braces for heavy rainfall and flash floods
The National Safety Authority has raised its preparedness level across all branches nationwide following warnings of severe weather conditions. The National Meteorological Centre has forecast heavy rainfall in the Greater Tripoli region starting Thursday, with the potential for thunderstorms and flash flooding in several areas.
In a statement, the authority emphasized the need for urgent interventions to safeguard lives and property. Coordination with security forces, emergency services, and relief agencies has been intensified to ensure a comprehensive response to any emergencies that may arise.
Libya holds workshop on educational policy development
The Libyan National Security Council hosted its second workshop on Saturday in Tripoli, titled "Educational Policies: Between Reality and Development." The event brought together education specialists, school administrators, training centre representatives, curriculum developers, social workers, and parents to discuss Libya's education system.
Seasonal flu vaccination campaign launched by NCDC
The National Center for Disease Control (NCDC) has officially launched its seasonal influenza vaccination campaign on,Sunday.
The initiative, which runs until the end of the month, is part of a broader effort to bolster community immunity and protect public health.
According to the centre, the campaign aims to prevent infections among healthcare workers, ensuring the safety of medical service recipients, especially those at high risk of complications. Officials have stressed that vaccination remains the most effective way to prevent the spread of influenza.
Municipal elections nullify invalid arguments
