Minister of Finance, UNDP discusses cooperation in completing public financial reform project

‎The Minister of Finance of the Government of National Unity (GNU), Khalid Al-Mabrouk, discussed with the Resident Representative of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in Libya, Sophie Kemkhadze, enhancing cooperation between the two sides to complete the public finance reform project and the shift toward financial digitization in Libya.

Al-Mabrouk received Kemkhadze and her accompanying delegation at the Ministry of Finance in Tripoli on Tuesday, in the presence of the Director of the Department of Financial Institutions and Technical Cooperation at the Ministry.

Libya's Al-Hilal wins and Al-Ahly Tripoli draws in round of 32 matches of CAF Confederation Cup

‎Al-Hilal won against Al-Masry of Port Said 3-2 on Sunday evening at the Martyrs of Benina Stadium in Benghazi, in the first leg of the 32nd round of the CAF Confederation Cup.

The visiting team took the lead in the last minute of the first half. In the second half, Al-Hilal scored the equalizer and after the goal, Al-Masry intensified its attempts to score the second goal, which was achieved at the 63rd minute.

Libya's telecom authority reviews progress on 5G roadmap

The Chairman of Libya’s General Authority for Communications and Informatics has reviewed the progress of a committee tasked with preparing a roadmap for the implementation of 5G and future technologies.

During a meeting at the Authority’s HQ, the committee provided an update on its work, including the evaluation of the draft 5G roadmap. The presentation covered technical specifications and recommended scenarios for launching 5G services.

The discussion also touched upon preparations for post-5G advancements, with a focus on telecom tower sharing and cybersecurity regulations.

The Ministry of Education of the Government of National Unity announced on Thursday its readiness to receive more than 2 million and 300 thousand male and female students for the new school year 2024-2025 immediately after the end of the Holy Birthday of the Prophet and Martyr's Day holiday.

Against the backdrop of the Central Bank crisis, oil production and exports halt, and failure of the parties to the crisis to reach an acceptable settlement, the UN Under-Secretary-General for Political Affairs, Rosemary DiCarlo, visited Libya and held talks with the parties in power in the east and west, as she was trying to determine degree of maturity of conditions for holding a new political dialogue, and to provide the necessary support to the Acting Envoy, Stephanie Koury.
