Libya wins financial arbitration lawsuit against Tunisian company
The Lawsuits Department of the state of Libya that's affiliated with the Supreme Judicial Council announced that it had obtained a ruling in favor of Libya in the arbitration case filed by the legal representative of Al-Maqata Al-Kubra Company in Bizerte, Tunisia, based on the bilateral investment promotion and protection agreement between Libya and Tunisia.
Al-Huweij announces housing initiative for surviving families in floods-ravaged areas
The Minister of Economy and Trade Mohammed Al-Huweij launched Tuesday an initiative to house families who survived the floods that swept away parts of the city of Derna and its surrounding areas on September 10 and 11, directing the opening of a bank account for the initiative.

Libya among countries with highest water intake
Libya has the highest rate of water consumption in the Arab region and the world, estimated at 2,392 litres per capita per day, a recent UN publication reveals.
According to the bulletin, Libya consumes more than 80% of its renewable water resources despite being one of the most threatened countries in the world by water stress.
"Libya uses three times the average per capita consumption in the Arab world," the circular states.
Education Ministry says operating budget for schools has reached 85 million dinars
The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education, Masouda Al-Aswad, said that the operating budget of educational institutions for the new academic year amounted to about 85 million dinars.
Masouda told the government's media platform Hakomitna that the distribution was according to the number of students in each area, indicating that 80% of the schools fulfilled the data and were ready to spend their budget, and that the schools located in 45 areas out of 90 had bank accounts that received their checks.
Authorities detect "numerous medical violations" in Sabha
The Food and Drug Control Centre has reported numerous medical violations at several health facilities in Sabha, south of Libya.
The surveillance team found that expired medicines were being stocked within health facilities. Additionally, the Sabha Educational Centre for Fertility and Assisted Reproduction was found to have breached medical standards, as well as a newly established health centre.
Legal procedures have already been initiated against the violators, who have been notified of the technical violations, the centre confirmed.
