Dbeibah assures UK ambassador of GNU's commitment to dismantle unlawful armed groups

The Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity (GNU) Abdul Hamid Dbeibah, reaffirmed his government’s commitment to enforce law and order and dismantle all armed groups operating outside the law during his meeting on Tuesday with the British Ambassador to Libya, Martin Longden. Dbeibah also praised the UK's role in supporting Libya’s stability, stressing the continuation of cooperation with international partners on this issue.

During the meeting, the two discussed the latest political and security developments in Libya, according to a statement published by the “Hakomitna” platform on Facebook.

Libya to host first e-payment forum as CBL pushes digital finance

Libya’s Central Bank (CBL) has announced the launch of the country’s first Electronic Payment Forum and Exhibition, scheduled for 15–17 June at the Tripoli International Fair.

The event, backed by Central Bank governor and organized by the General Authority for Exhibitions, will bring together domestic and international payment companies as well as commercial banks operating in Libya.

According to officials, the forum aims to showcase cutting-edge digital payment technologies, encourage financial inclusion, and support the digital transformation of Libya’s banking sector.
