Sudan rejects BBC allegations of abuse against Sudanese women in Libya
The Sudanese Embassy in Libya has firmly denied allegations made in a BBC report claiming Sudanese women were subjected to violence and sexual assault in Libyan "Abu Saleem" detention center.
In a statement, the embassy said it had received no complaints of abuse from Sudanese detainees and praised the cooperation between the embassy and Libyan authorities. It specifically commended the Anti-Illegal Migration Agency for its efforts to assist Sudanese nationals and ensure their humane treatment.
