Faraj Abu Hashim tells off Aqilah Saleh for his policies, confirms he remains HoR spokesman

The spokesman of the Tobruk-based House of Representatives, Faraj Abu Hashim, confirmed he is still acting as the spokesman of the HoR, pointing out that the decision of the Speaker, Aqilah Saleh, to appoint the head of the HoR’s media department, Abdullah Belheeg, in his position is illegitimate.

In a statement, Abu Hashim said he was appointed as a spokesman in an official session of the HoR members, and thus the dismissal decision should be taken in a similar mechanism.

Oil Facilities Guard forces seize Al-Naufileya, advance toward Harawa

The spokesman of the Oil Facilities Guard of Ibrahim Jodran’s forces, Ali Al-Hassi, said they took control Tuesday of Al-Naufileya town, which lies 120 km to the east of Sirte, IS’s stronghold.

Al-Hassi explained that IS militants retreated to Harawa town, 50 km eastern Sirte, after the Oil Facilities Guard forces had gripped Al-Naufileya town entirely in the advance carried out today.

“No casualties in our forces as we controlled Al-Naufileya.” Al-Hassi remarked.

For renegade General Khalifa Haftar and his puppets, those who oppose Dignity Operation are terrorists! They can be ISIS affiliates, Al-Qaeda-linked extremists, or Muslim Brotherhood members. Derna Shura Council is no exception. This council was categorized by Dignity Operation as an ISIS group, but later after the defeat of ISIS in Derna by council fighters, the categorization has been changed! Now, Dignity Operation and its affiliated media claim that Derna Shura fighters are a group of Al-Qaeda who are supported by Muslim Brotherhood!

Tunisian man appeals for help to bring his 3-year-old nephew from Libya, authorities refuse

Tunisian authorities have turned a blind eye to appeals from one of its nationals to bring his wounded nephew from Libya.  

The 3-year-old nephew, identified as Baraa Al-Ziani, was with his mother when a US warplane bombed an ISIS hub in Sabratha early this year. Both managed to survive the airstrike but later were injured in ground clashes against Sabratha revolutionary fighters.

Ramadan Shopping Festival launched in Tripoli International Fair Sunday under the sponsorship of the General Association of Exhibitions. The festival was organized by Jesir Company for Communication and Organizing Exhibitions.

The Ramadan Shopping Festival saw a participation of many local companies and factories.

The Head of the General Association of Exhibitions, Salah Hamza, said that the aim of the festival is to enable the Libyan citizens to buy Ramadan foods with affordable prices.

Jodran’s forces recapture Ben Jawad town from ISIS

5 of Ibrahim Jodran’s forces were killed and 18 others injured Monday in clashes with ISIS in Ben Jawad town, east of Sirte.

The spokesman of Jodran’s forces, known as Oil Facilities Guard, Ali AL-Hassi, said their forces are now in full control of Ben Jawad and freed it from all IS radicals.

In the western front line, Misrata forces are advancing toward Sirte with ISIS militants are now besieged from all directions.

The Turkish Foreign Minister, Mevlut Çavuşoglu, said Turkey’s embassy in Libya is going to reopen and visa on Libyans will be cancelled soon.

In a joint press conference with the UN-proposed government’s Foreign Minister, Mohammed Sayalah, Monday in Tripoli, the Turkish Foreign Minister said he had come to Libya to discuss reopening the embassy and canceling visa on Libyan citizens as well as the resumption of work by the Turkish firms in the mutual projects between the two countries.

An internationally-wanted IS senior leader reportedly killed in Libya

The media bureau of Al-Bunyan Al-Marsous operation reported from Official Libyan sources that one of the IS senior leaders, Khaled Al-Shayeb, who is internationally wanted for terror cases in Libya and Tunisia, was killed and his body was identified after the clashes in Al-Baghla crossroad a couple of days ago.

On Sunday, the bureau reported from a source at the investigations department at the Public Prosecutor’s Office that the identity of Al-Shayeb had been recognized by IS detainees at the Tripoli-based Special Deterrent Force.

A Sirte girl undergoes a massive 17-hour operation for landmine injuries

A girl from Sirte had to undergo a major surgery at Misrata Central Hospital last Wednesday following a landmine explosion.

The 11-year-old girl and her family were leaving Sirte to escape the expected fight against ISIS when a landmine exploded in their car in the outskirts of the city. The girl sustained serious injuries including gastrointestinal perforation, legs and elbow fractures, and clogged arteries in the right leg.
