Tunisian protesters in Ben Gardane force back Libyan trucks and ambulances to Ras Ajdair

On Wednesday, Tunisian protesters blocked the road that links Ben Gardane city in Tunisia with the Libyan border via the road known as the National Road 1 using burning tires and rocks.

Media outlets reported eyewitnesses as saying that the protesters blocked the eastern entrance of Ben Gardane city at Al-Maghreb Al-Arabi roundabout, pointing out that they threw stones at the Libyan cars, ambulances, and trucks to oblige them to go back to Ras Ajdair checkpoint.

A man from Sabratha has embarked on a risky journey to Europe to save his little daughter's life. The father, identified as Abdul-Hakim Shaibi, took his 10-year-old daughter Sajida to Europe on an inflatable boat, following the footsteps of hundreds of African migrants who cross to Europe on a daily basis.

Al-Ahli loses its second match in CAF Confederation Cup

Tripoli-based A-Ahli lost its second match in the two-group round of the CAF Confederation Cup to Morocco’s Al-Kawkab Al-Marakishi 1-2 at Tunisia’s Al-Shathily Azzuaiteen stadium.

Al-Kawkab team scored first at the minute 34 on a penalty by Mohammed Al-Fakeeh, and then at the minute 38, Al-Ahli tied the score also on a penalty by Al-Ghannoudi. However, the Moroccan team scored again in the second half at the minute 64 by the Brazilian player, Jefferson.

Al-Thanni government calls for release of Zintan-detained Gaddafi’s son

Activists leaked a letter on social media by the former Justice Minister of Al-Thanni government, Al-Mabrouk Graira, before he passed away urging the Zintan Court to release Saif Al-Islam Gaddafi, who has been detained in there since 2011.

In the leaked letter that dates back to last April, Al-Thanni government stated that there had been a delay in activating the making of the amnesty ordinance that was passed by the HoR in November 2015, which was under the government’s supervision.

Khalifa Haftar is a tyrant, shout protesters after airstrike in south Ajdabiya

Khalifa Haftar's air force militia conducted an airstrike against the so-called Petroleum Facility Guard, Ibrahim Jodran's de facto armed groups, in south Ajdabiya in the early hours of Wednesday.

Sources said the airstrike took place at around 1.00 a.m with no casualties reported.

Following the airstrike, angry protesters went to the streets of Ajdabiya, Brega, Bisher and Ras Lanouf to denounce the airstrike.
