The US Republican Senator Lindsey Graham said in a statement on Tuesday that he made a phone call with the Head of the Libyan Presidential Council Fayez Al-Sarraj.

Sen. Graham said he had a constructive phone call with Al-Sarraj, saying it is important the United States reinforces its commitment to a political solution in Libya and rejects efforts by any party for a military takeover.

Attack on Sharara oilfield caused no damage, Libya's NOC says

The Libyan National Oil Corporation (NOC) said unknown gunmen launched an RPG on unit 186 at Sharara oilfield before the security personnel had responded to the attackers.

The security personnel managed to foil the attack, Reuters reported, while the NOC said there had been no damage or human loss in the field.

The NOC called for immediate halt of hostilities across Libya and inside oil facilities.

Al-Baghdadi admits ISIS was defeated in Libya's Sirte

The leader of ISIS Abu Bakr Al-Baghdadi appeared on Monday in a video for the first time since his last appearance in Mosul, Iraq in 2014.

The video went on for 18 minutes in which ISIS leader talked about many countries including Libya and several militants sitting with Al-Baghdadi said they could be effective in Libya despite losing Sirte in 2016.

Parliament members who oppose Haftar's war on Tripoli to hold session Thursday

Several members of the House of Representatives (HoR) announced in Tripoli on Monday that they will hold next Thursday a session in Rexos Conference Hall as per the Skhirat agreement.

"We call on the rest of HoR members to join us in the Thursday session." Hamouda Sayala said reading a final statement issued by the members.

UN envoy says Haftar isn't that democratic and many Libyans disagree with him

The United Nations envoy to Libya, Ghassan Salame, warned Monday of the continuing support for Khalifa Haftar saying he is not a democratic figure and that most Libyans see him as the new Gaddafi.

Salame told France Inter Radio that Haftar isn't Abraham Lincoln and isn't a great democracy supporter.
