The Libyan Interior Ministry has denied "rumors" of the presence of Turkish military officers in Libya in areas under the Presidential Council's government command.

The Interior Ministry said in a statement on Saturday that these rumors are made as part of the propaganda campaigns against the Libyan Army, which is doing its best to defend Tripoli and democracy in the entire country.

The spokesman of the Libyan Army Mohammed Gununu said the army forces had seized in Gharyan liberation battle 70 military vehicles, UAE-made Nimr armored vehicles, three drones, sophisticated weapons and US missiles, adding that they had destroyed about 70 vehicles for Khalifa Haftar's forces.

Spokesperson of Libyan warlord Khalifa Haftar, Ahmed Al-Mismari, has threatened to shoot down Turkish airplanes flying in the Libyan air space and destroy Turkish ships sailing in the Libyan territorial waters, three days after losing the strategic city of Gharyan, south Tripoli.

At a press conference on Friday, Al-Mismari, who is known as the minister of propaganda of Haftar, also threatened to arrest Turkish citizens and attack Turkish companies and interests in Libya.

President of Equatorial Guinea, Teodoro Obiang condemned the aggression launched against Tripoli by Haftar under the pretext of combating terrorism, saying that the fight against terrorism is not by attacking the legitimate government.

In his meeting with the Presidential Council (PC) head, Fayez Al-Sarraj, President Obiang said that the international community must work to stop this bloodshed and help restore stability in Libya.

Four Libyan families residing in the United States have filed a lawsuit against Khalifa Haftar, as he is an American citizen, for war crimes, crimes against humanity and violations of human rights in Libya.

The families lodged the lawsuit in the county court of the State of Virginia, calling for investigations into Haftar's crimes and urging for holding him accountable for them as per the US laws, since he is a US citizen.
