Video: Civilian killed, 9 others injured in airstrike by Haftar's forces on Tajoura, eastern Tripoli

One person was killed and nine others were wounded - including a child and two women - in airstrikes carried out by Khalifa Haftar's forces on Tajoura, eastern Tripoli.

Eyewitnesses said Saturday that the airstrikes nearby the National Heart Center in Tajoura caused considerable damage to civilian houses, and car accidents on the road due to the panic caused by the bombing.

Mayor of Tajoura Hussein bin Attiyah said Haftar's Air Force raids targeted a densely-populated area in the center of Tajoura.

UN envoy hopeful international community would adopt better stance on Libya

The Head of the UNSMIL Ghassan Salame said the mission is hopeful that the international community will have a better stance toward Libya after meeting several officials from countries involved in the crisis.

In a joint press conference with Tunisian Foreign Minister Khemaies Jhinaoui, Salame said that some parties in Libya were saying that military operations would continue till victory was achieved.

"But this cannot be possible in a country like Libya." Salame explained.

Libya Air Force aircraft crashes, pilot killed as Haftar's forces claim the shoot-down

A source from the Misrata Airbase denied that Khalifa Haftar's forces had downed Air Force aircraft at Al-Dafiniya in west of the city, saying the aircraft had experienced a mechanical failure after taking off.

The source added that the pilot was killed in the incident as he tried to land some 20 km away from Misrata.

Al-Sarraj, Buccino discuss medical treatment of Libyan Army injured fighters in Italian hospitals

The Head of the Libyan Presidential Council Faye Al-Sarraj discussed with the Italian ambassador, Giuseppe Buccino, the medical treatment procedures of injured Libyan army fighters under the PC's command in Italian hospitals.

The meeting on Thursday also saw discussions about the ongoing security challenges and the conflict on Tripoli.

Salame: Libyans fighting in Tripoli should pay attention to southern region's residents

The UN envoy to Libya, Ghassan Salame, leading a delegation of various UN agencies, visited Thursday the southern Libya city of Ghat - which was hit by devastating floods, leaving thousands of people homeless - to assess the humanitarian needs of the local society.

Salame told reporters that the Libyans who are fighting in Tripoli should be looking to the needs of southern region's residents "who are keen on keeping Libya united."
