Libya's GNA arrests top officials over corruption

Security authorities loyal to Government of National Accord have arrested the Minister of Local Governing Milad Al-Taher and his deputy as well as the head of the Ministry's burueau Saleh Al-Sakloul over corruption accusations.

The investigations bureau of the Attorney General's Office also ordered arrest of the deputy education minister Adel Jumua over corruption in importing school desks.

Al-Mishri to arrive in Morocco Wednesday to partake in Libyan dialogue

The Head of the High Council of State (HCS) Khalid Al-Mishri will arrive in Morocco on Wednesday to participate in the second round of the Libyan dialogue that is slated for Thursday, a member of the HCS said.

The HCS delegation arrived in the Moroccan city of Bouznika, in preparation for the second round of the Libyan dialogue, a council official told Anadolu Agency on condition of anonymity without disclosing further details.

Gununu: Wagner mercenaries fortify Jufra airbase in 31 locations

The spokesman for the Libyan Army Mohammed Gununu said they had depicted Wagner Group mercenaries' work on fortifying Jufra airbase in over 31 locations.

Gununu said some of the fortified locations of Wagner Group mercenaries at Jufra airbase include a diameter of 25 km, in addition to locations inside the airbase near the runway.

Pleading sessions against Haftar start at US court

A US court started pleading sessions in lawsuits against Khalifa Haftar as the team of lawyers under the supervision of Libyan American Alliance said it had been notified that the pleading session of the families of Haftar's victims started Tuesday noon.

The plaintiffs' lawyer said they were sure the court would find Haftar a criminal who committed war crimes and say he must be accountable for them.

The UN and Germany to hold Berlin II conference on October 5

The United Nations and Germany are to hold on the 5th of October a ministerial meeting as a follow-up on the Berlin conference, held in January this year.

The spokesman for the UN mission, Jan Al-Alam, said in a press statement that the meeting comes within the framework of the efforts made to ensure the fulfillment of the commitments made at the Berlin Conference on Libya last January.

Tripoli-based Hor: HCS ignored us in favour of Aqila Saleh

The House of Representatives (HoR) based in Tripoli has accused the High Council of State (HCS) of showing disregard to their block by limiting its contacts in the ongoing round of talks with Aqila Saleh, "as if he was the parliament."

In a communication addressed to the HCS, the HoR members in Tripoli demanded an explanation on what grounds they have been excluded from the current negotiations.
