Minister of Education: Secondary school exams set to begin on Sunday

The Minister of Education, Mohamed Ammari Zayed, confirmed that the ministry has completed all necessary arrangements for the high school certificate examinations, set to begin on Sunday.

Zayed confirmed, during a press conference, that the exams are due to last three weeks, however, Thursday, Friday and Saturday will be considered days of rest for the students.

The International Criminal Court (ICC) said Libya remains under an obligation to arrest and surrender Saif Al-Islam Gaddafi to be tired at The Hague, adding that the Prosecutor’s Office notes that efforts made by the Government of National Accord (GNA) to date have not succeeded in securing his arrest and surrender.

The Head of Libya’s Presidential Council Fayez Al-Sarraj discussed Saturday with Acting UN envoy Stephanie Williams resuming political process as per Berlin conference conclusions.

In a meeting in Tripoli with Williams, Al-Sarraj said that the Tunisia-hosted Libyan Dialogue Forum is a historic opportunity for Libyans to decide on a political solution as per a specified timeline, according to his media office.

First 5+5 military commission meeting in Libya on Monday, UNSMIL says

The 5+5 Joint Military Commission will meet from 2 to 4 November for a fifth round of talks and for the first time inside Libya, in the city of Ghadames, according to a statement on Saturday by the UNSMIL.

UNSMIL added that this round of talks comes after the signing of a ceasefire agreement by both delegations on 23 October in Geneva and will be attended by Acting Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General for Libya Stephanie Williams.
