The Defence Minister, Salah Al-Namroush called on the Chief of Staff, the Commander of military areas, along with the Chiefs of the Joint Operations Room, to remain in a state of readiness for any and all possible attacks by Haftar and his militias and mercenaries.
Members from Libya’s House of Representatives and the High Council of State have met in Malta for peace talks in a new effort to get the country out of the current crisis.
The politicians said they were hopeful that a solution is "close" following Mata-facilitated peace talks
Abdulaziz Taher Hariba, a member of the High Council of State, told Times of Malta that they decided to meet in Malta because it is a neutral country and it has always opened its arms for Libyan dialogue.
The Libyan coast guard has received two of its vessels after being repaired in Bizerte port in Tunisia with Italy and the European Union funding the maintenance work as part of the European Union Emergency Trust Fund.
The two vessels will boost Libyan coastguards' capabilities of search and rescue operations, handling of human trafficking and organized crime on the coastline, according to EU delegation to Libya.
The Office of the Military Prosecutor said in a statement Wednesday that the Undersecretary of Health Ministry Mohammed Haythem fled Libya with a fake passport, pretending to be an injured fighter.
The statement said Haythem is wanted like other officials at the Military Medical Apparatus, who were summoned by the office, to provide statements and be interrogated over squandering the funds of the Apparatus, at which Haythem was the Director.

The Presidential Council (PC) held a meeting today at its HQ in Tripoli with the chairmanship of its President Fayez Al-Sarraj and the presence of Vice-Presidents Ahmed Maiteeq and Abdul Salam Kajman, and council member Mohamed Amari Zayed.
The meeting discussed several issues, top of which was the current political, security, and military situation, besides the regional and international positions towards the Libyan crisis.
