A member of the High Council of State said Monday that Libyan Dialogue parties in Bouznika completed 80% of the talks on sovereign positions' selection criteria.

The member told Anadolu Agency, on condition of anonymity, that the delegations of the Tobruk-based House of Representatives and High Council of State will send a positive message on Bouznika understandings in Berlin II Conference.

The Libyan Representative at the UN Human Rights Council Tamim Bayo has called on the countries intervening in Libya and causing people's suffering to give Libyans the right to "life, peace and prosperity."

Bayo said in his briefing at the Human Rights Council that the international community bears shared responsibility for how things turned out in Libya as it could help the country by regaining people's trust by tangible results on the ground.

The UN Human Rights Office (OHCHR) has expressed concern over the "dire" situation the migrants are facing at sea and upon their arrival in Europe.

In a statement on its official website on Friday, the UN organization said that those rescued and disembarked on European shores frequently face risks of arbitrary detention, in conditions that may also amount to ill-treatment, warning that the situation has grown critical in light of the Covid-19 pandemic.
