Head of Libya’s Media Foundation arrested in Tripoli

Tripoli Revolutionaries Brigade arrested Tuesday night the Head of the Libyan Media Foundation Mohammed Bayo who was appointed by the Head of the Presidential Council Fayez Al-Sarraj.

The brigade said Bayo - who was a prominent Gaddafi regime figure - was arrested because he refused to scrap his orders to the state-owned TV channels not to air anything about Khalifa Haftar's war on Tripoli, which he described in his statement as "civil war", or anything that incites hate or revenge.

Libya's Ministry of Justice discusses judicial cooperation with Tunisia

The working group formed by the Ministry of Justice to communicate with the Tunisian side on legal cooperation and extradition met on Tuesday at the Ministry's HQ to discuss issues pending with the Tunisian government in this regard.

The working group reviewed the problems encountered by Libyan travelers when entering the Tunisian territory, including the similarity of names and the need to cooperate with the Tunisian consulate on this issue.

Wadi Otbh delegation reviews with Maiteeq region's bottlenecks

The deputy head of the Presidential Council (PC), Ahmed Maiteeq, received on Tuesday a delegation of elders and dignitaries from the Municipality of Wadi Otbh, south of Libya.

The delegation briefed Maiteeq on the problems and difficulties which undermine the municipal council's work to provide services to its population, a statement by the media office of the Ministerial Council said on Facebook Tuesday.

UN launches youth track as part of Libyan dialogue

The UN Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL) said it had launched youth track as part of the Libyan political dialogue to be held in Tunisia in November, saying it is part of its work to include the youth in the political process.

The first meeting of the youth track was held last Sunday online with 41 participants from all across Libya, saying they all got equal opportunities to express themselves and speak about the civil organizations they represent. The meetings resulted in a set of recommendations.
