Al-Sarraj calls for meeting to discuss consequences of freezing Libyan oil revenues

The Head of the Libyan Presidential Council Fayez Al-Sarraj has called for a highly important meeting with high-profile officials to be held on Tuesday to discuss the ramifications of freezing oil revenues and propose solutions to avoid war and division in the country.

Al-Sarraj said in a letter to the officials invited to the meeting that given the ongoing political and economic conditions, they should attend Tuesday the discussion at the Prime Ministry headquarters in Tripoli.

HoR member says Ghadames meeting could not level up to expectations

The member of the Libyan House of Representatives (HoR) Ali Al-Sibayi said the parliament’s sessions will be held in Ghadames this week or at the start of next week, saying in a televised statement that the HoR members who met in Tangier agreed on reform, independence of decision, and on the need for all members to feel safe away from death threats or coercion.

Libya’s largest book center opened in Tajoura, east Tripoli

Sheikh Ali Al-Gharyani Book Center was opened in Tajoura district of Tripoli on Saturday, November 28. The Book Center is the largest national library in Libya which contains more than 7,200 volumes in various specializations, providing services such as printing, photocopying and borrowing books, with the possibility of an electronic search within the database of the center, in addition to free internet and café services.

A group of youth from Masllata city east of Tripoli launched a campaign entitled "Strive To Leave An Impact", to support Masllata General Hospital and improve the health services provided to the public.

The campaign recently contributed to equipping the hospital with an oxygen plant and held a training course for midwives.

The group also assisted in developing the men's ward by carrying out some maintenance work for the main hall, toilets, and other facilities, besides providing the ward with hospital beds.

Sanallah reiterates NOC will not release oil revenues, demands transparency from the CBL

The Head of the National Oil Corporation (NOC), Mustafa Sanallah, reiterated on Sunday that the corporation will not release the oil revenues due to the lack of transparency and a clear mechanism from the Central Bank regarding the disbursement of the income.

Sanallah explained in a video statement that the NOC is keeping the revenues in the NOC sovereign accounts at the Libyan Foreign Bank in Tripoli, stressing that this is carried, within the legal process.
