Protesters in Houn town stormed Thursday into a building of Khalifa Haftar's forces to urge for the departure of Russian Wagner Group and Sudanese Janjaweed's mercenaries amid mounting attacks against the townspeople, a source has reported.
The UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres has urged for an international monitoring mechanism of the Libya ceasefire, adding in a report to the Security Council that this mechanism could achieve consolidation of the truce in the country.
The Libyan Political Dialogue Forum (LPDF) participants have agreed to form a 15-member advisory committee next week in order to end the impasse of selecting mechanism to elect new executive authority.

The committee said it would open candidacy for those wishing to become members of the Municipal Council for Souq al-Jumaa from Sunday, Jan. 1, 2021, to Thursday, 21 of the same month, confirming that the period for candidacy cannot be extended.
The Ambassadors of Germany, Italy, the United States, and the Charge d’Affaires of France and the United Kingdom, joined by UNSMIL, stressed to Prime Minister Fayez al-Sarraj the need for a strong and engaged Libyan leadership ahead of elections in December 2021.
This came during a joint phone call with al-Sarraj on Wednesday, according to the US Embassy.
