Tunisian President Kais Saied says that Tunisia rejects any attempts to divide Libya, as he reiterated his country's permanent readiness to support efforts towards a political settlement that paves the way for development and reconstruction, as he put it.

Saied's statements were released by the Tunisian Presidency following the former's meeting with Foreign Minister Najla Al-Manqoush, on Friday.

Libya Post Company has signed with its Algerian counterpart a memorandum of understanding for cooperation between the two sides.

The company said on Facebook that the memorandum aims to strengthen and support cooperation in the postal field, improve and develop the postal service between the two parties, and provide consultations to raise the quality and digitization of postal services.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Government of National Unity (GNU), Najla Al-Manqoush, has participated with her Tunisian, Algerian counterparts, in a joint consultation session between the three countries.

Al-Manqoush arrived at the head of a Libyan delegation to the Tunisian capital earlier on Friday on an official visit at the invitation of President Kais Saied within the framework of consultations between Libya, Tunisia and Algeria, according to the GNU official Facebook page.

The special envoy for the Italian Foreign Minister Nicola Orlando reiterated Italian support for the mediation efforts of the UN Advisor Stephanie Williams on the way of reaching an agreement acceptable to all political parties in Libya. 

These remarks came in a meeting with the Libyan Foreign Minister, Najla Al-Mangoush, in Tripoli alongside the Italian ambassador to Libya, Giuseppe Botchini.
