A member of the notorious Russian Wagner Group has been killed fighting in Ukraine, Russian and Ukrainian media have confirmed.
Vladimir Andonov, 44 -also known as "The Executioner" for his brutality in previous wars he served in Libya and Syria- was shot dead by a Ukrainian sniper in Kharkiv, Russian media says.
Andonovo was allegedly engaged in massacres carried out during Russia's first invasion of Ukraine in 2014.
A source from Sharara oil field confirmed that operations and production in the largest oil field in the country had stopped, only one day after the field was reopened at the request of gunmen believed to be affiliated with the Petroleum Facilities Guard (PFG).
The source added that the general production at Sharara oil field increased after the resumption of production to 150.000 barrels per day, pending some maintenance operations to return the field to its previous production levels.
The member of the High Council of State (HCS) Belqassim Gazit, said the HCS supports the mediation of the Presidential Council (PC) between the Government of National Unity (GNU) and Fathi Bashagha's government.
Gazit said the Presidential Council is the only party that hasn't had a dispute with other parties unlike the HCS and House of Representatives (HoR) and the two governments, adding that he met with the Head of PC Mohammed Menfi to encourage him to take an urgent role in mediation between the two governments.
The Central Bank of Libya (CBL) revealed that the revenues of the last five months have reached 54.6 billion dinars, while spending amounted to 31.1 billion, saying that May revenues exceeded the other four months by 1.7 billion and expenditures by 8.2 billion.
The CBL said oil revenues reached 37.4 billion and oil royalties reached 4.7 billion, adding that oil royalties of last years reached 11 billion dinars.
