UN Stabilization Fund says invested over $95 million to support Libyan municipalities

The United Nations Stabilization Fund announced that it has invested more than $95 million since 2016 to support municipalities and help the displaced people in Libya.

The fund's management clarified during its last meeting that it worked in 24 municipalities and helped them confront the Covid-19 epidemic by directing support to health, water and sanitation sectors in 2020.

The Parliamentary Committee for the Security of the Republic (in Italian: COPASIR) has expected Libya to be destabilized, Decode39 website has indicated.

The website added that the permanent conflict and the potential growth of Russian influence resulting from empowering Khalifa Haftar does not allow at this point to room for positive progress toward stabilizing the country, which will be of critical importance to Italian interests, especially with the management of immigration influx and energy resources.

Bashagha: Tripoli recent clashes were caused by Dbeibah's rejection to hand over power peacefully

The Prime Minister designated by the House of Representatives Fathi Bashagha has blamed the Libyan Prime Minister Abdul Hamid Dbeibah, his advisors and family for the bloodshed and looted money in the country, saying the main reason was the clinging to power and the rejection of the will of Libyans by Dbeibah.

Dbeiabah orders Defense Ministry to form speedy plan to relocate military camps out of Tripoli

The Libyan Prime Minister Abdul Hamid Dbeibah said that he had instructed the Ministry of Defense to speed up the formation of a comprehensive plan to close the camps occupied by armed groups in downtown Tripoli and move them outside the city, adding that he had given direct instructions to remove security posts in Tripoli summer resort and turn it to a public beach resort, in addition to retrieving Radio building in Al-Nasser Street to the media sector. 

Ministry of Social Affairs forms work teams to list families affected by recent clashes

The Ministry of Social Affairs has announced the formation of work teams for psychological and social support in order to list families affected by the recent clashes in Tripoli.

These arrangements were made during the meeting of the Crisis Committee of the Western Region on Sunday headed by the Undersecretary for Administartive Affairs, Hussein Al-Bahbah, as part of the ministry's follow-up of the effects of the recent clashes in Tripoli.
