The Director of Follow-up Department of the Ministry of Justice of the Government of National Accord has been found dead after days of abduction in Tripoli.

The body of Walid Tarhuni was found at Shara Zawiya Hospital with signs of torture and gunshots.

The victim is from the eastern city of Bayda who decided to work in Tripoli for the Government of National Accord.

Days before his abduction, TV presenter Mohammed Imtallal , a mouthpiece for warlord Khalifa Haftar, scolded Tarhuni for his work with the Government of National Accord, saying on Libya TV station that all names of collaborators with Tripoli government are known for them.

Imtallal is notorious for inciting murder against foes of Khalifa Haftar and his self-styled army. He usually gives details live on air about foes of Khalifa Haftar and incites against them. Among his victims are former national team footballer Anis Mikraz and political activist Muftah Bonnafra.

The Libyan Center for Freedom of Press (LCFP) had condemned the rise of systematic calls for violence and threats of killing that are being voiced by the TV presenter, Mohammed Imtallal.
