Minister of Culture

Minister of Culture and Knowledge Development, Mabrouka Tougi, has held a series of meetings aimed at strengthening the country’s cultural sector and enhancing regional and international cooperation.

In a meeting with Mohamed Awad, Director of Misrata Cultural Radio, Minister Tougi discussed strategies to support the station, ensure the continuity of its broadcasts, and improve its cultural content.

In a separate engagement, the Minister met with Nasser Brini, Mayor of Gharyan, to explore opportunities for collaboration to revitalise the city’s cultural landscape.

Discussions included the potential establishment of a local branch of Libya’s Cultural Radio, the development of innovative programming, and the launch of a cultural festival that would reflect the municipality’s unique identity.

Earlier, on Thursday, Tougi received Libya’s Ambassador to Cyprus, Quwaydir Ibrahim, at her office in Tripoli. The two officials discussed bilateral cultural relations and the activation of existing cultural agreements between Libya and Cyprus.
