The Government of National Unity (GNU) has unveiled plans for the "Summer Days" festival, set to run for two consecutive months in the capital, Tripoli.

Mohamed Hammouda, the advisor to the Prime Minister and head of the festival's preparatory committee, shared details of the event in a video released on the "Hakomitna" platform. The festival will feature a wide range of cultural, entertainment, artistic, and sports activities, along with competitions and championships being organized for the first time in Libya.

The events are designed to appeal to all demographics, including youth, children, women, older people, and families.

Hammouda emphasized that the festival, supervised by the Ministry of Local Government, will ensure the safety and security of participants.

Government ministers have reviewed the safety plans, security measures, and procedures for opening passages and tunnels under Shatt Road.

The committee head expressed hope that similar events will soon take place in cities across Libya, bringing communities together through a celebration of culture and recreation.
