The head of the preparations committee of the Benghazi International Forum and Exhibition of Oil and Gas, Masoud Al-Awami, said 67 companies will take part in the forum that is going to be held on October 24-26.

"Some of the firms are foreign oil companies and this is a message to the world that Libya can hold massive industrial exhibitions on its land." Al-Awami told reporters on Tuesday.

He added that Schlumberger, which is one of the largest oil companies in the world, is the official sponsor of the exhibition, while Arabian Gulf Company will be the golden sponsor.

The committee's head added that the Chairman of the National Oil Corporation, Mustafa Sanallah, will be attending the event, which he said will be a space for drilling and producing expertise to mix on an international level, not to mention the opportunities to be open for the technical experts.

"The exhibition will kick-start on 11.00 pm Libya time on Wednesday and will go on for three days until it shuts its door on Friday with several events and workshops for the benefit of all participants." Al-Awami explained.

The NOC announced the exhibition would take place on October 09-11, but later said it had been pushed for October 24.
