The National Oil Corporation discussed British Petroleum's desire to expand its investments in Libya, especially in the fields of exploration and development, with a focus on additional recovery projects.
This discussion came during a meeting held by the business development team at the National Oil Corporation with British Petroleum officials. The meeting was attended by the team leader, advisor to the corporation's board of directors, and the director of British Petroleum, along with a number of managers and specialists from both sides.
Representatives of the British company confirmed that Libya is one of the countries targeted for investment in exploration and field development, which contributes to increasing production.
British Petroleum has exploration and sharing agreements in three exploration blocks: one in the Sirte Basin, and two in the Ghadames Basin, in partnership with Eni and the Libyan Investment Authority. The company is also preparing to drill the first exploration well in Block (B) in the Ghadames Basin.
