The Central Bank of Libya (CBL) and the Administrative Control Authority have agreed to form a joint task force to monitor and implement recommendations and outcomes related to economic reforms.

This agreement was the key outcome of a meeting between Central Bank Governor Naji Issa and the Head of the Administrative Control Authority, Abdullah Gaderbouh, attended by several department heads and officials from both institutions.

The meeting discussed the general economic situation of the country, during which the Central Bank presented its macroeconomic outlook and a package of proposed reforms.

The parties also reviewed the 53rd annual report of the Administrative Control Authority for the year 2023, including its data and observations.

CBL governor emphasized the role of the Administrative Control Authority in monitoring the performance of various sectors and supporting the implementation of proposed monetary, fiscal, and commercial policies.

Gaderbouh expressed the Authority’s full readiness to support the Central Bank’s efforts, particularly those aimed at unifying government spending and improving the quality of services provided to citizens.
