The Libyan National Oil Corporation (NOC) said it shipped the first cooking gas shipment from Zueitina oil port in central Libya to Benghazi.

The NOC said on its website that 35.000 barrels of cooking gas were shipped onboard Tahadi vessel.

"This comes as part of the NOC efforts to provide all oil products to Libyan across the country." The NOC added.

Meanwhile, this shipment is the first by the NOC from Zueitina port after 4 years of shutdown of the cooking gas factory in the port.

Cooking gas production stopped in July 2013 and resumed last January.

Before it was closed during the shutdown of oil fields and terminal by the Petroleum Facilities Guard's commander Ibrahim Jodran, the factory used to produce 28.000 bpd of cooking gas, with the third of the production used in C5 output.
