The Minister of Finance in the Government of National Unity (GNU) Khalid Al-Mabrouk participated in a forum to launch the African Development Bank's report on the Libyan economy, where he signed a cooperation agreement with the bank's representative Malinne Blomberg to support the national economy and achieve sustainable development.
The forum was held on Monday in the capital, Tripoli, and Al-Mabrouk delivered a speech during which he praised the role of the African Development Bank in providing technical support to Libyan institutions and exchanging ideas to enhance economic development and diversify sources of income.
Blomberg stressed the importance of the bank in enhancing governance and transparency as well as supporting economic reforms in Libya. While the Chargé d'Affairs of the Japanese Embassy in Libya stated their country's desire to continue supporting economic projects in Libya through training programs in the field of business and economics. The forum witnessed a review of data and statistics on the national economy, which were covered by the African Development Bank's report.
