Four Indonesian women entrepreneurs embarked on efforts to capture business opportunities in Libya by directly participating in the 51st Tripoli International Fair, scheduled to wrap up on April 28.

These four women entrepreneurs, accompanied by two male entrepreneurs, are leaders of the Indonesian Employers' Association (APINDO) or the Association of Indonesian Exporters (GPEI) of Central Java.

The Embassy of Indonesia in Tripoli, in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Trade, and the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN Indonesia), fully facilitated and supported the participation of these six entrepreneurs.

"Indonesia's participation in the 51st Tripoli International Fair is a strategic step to strengthen Indonesia's bilateral relations with Libya, while also expanding the reach of Indonesian products in Libya and the surrounding areas.” The Charge d'Affaires ad Interim of the Indonesian Embassy in Tripoli, Dede Achmad Rifai, stated.

In addition to the six entrepreneurs, nine Indonesian companies entrusted samples of their products to be displayed at the 100-square-meter Indonesian pavilion at the 51st Tripoli International Fair.

The Indonesian entrepreneurs and companies showcased a variety of halal and high-quality products, such as packaged food and beverages, including coffee and snacks, natural herbal medicines, paper and stationery, beauty and fashion products.

In collaboration with Libyan partner companies of Indonesian companies, Indonesian products already present in the Libyan market were also displayed, such as rattan and wooden furniture, footwear (shoes and sandals), detergents, and multipurpose adhesives.

Libyan Prime Minister Abdul Hamid Dbebah, and Minister of Economy and Trade Mohamad Alhawej, visited The Indonesian pavilion and expressed joy at seeing various Indonesian products.

In addition to Libyan and Indonesian companies, companies from 15 other countries participated in this year's Tripoli International Fair, including Italy, Turkey, Tunisia, Iran, Egypt, Algeria, South Korea, Japan and China.

The large number of foreign companies and other countries participating in the Tripoli International Fair shows that the situation and conditions in Libya are increasingly safe and conducive to business activities and economic cooperation.
