The Ministry of Industry and Minerals of the Government of National Unity signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on Monday with the Libyan-Chinese Joint Economic Chamber with the aim of supporting investment projects in the fields of mining and industrial development, enhancing training and scientific research programs, in addition to encouraging the private sector to establish strategic partnerships in various industrial fields. 

The Minister of Industry and Minerals Ahmed Abu Hisa stressed during the signing of the MoU that it comes within the efforts aimed at expanding cooperation with national economic institutions, noting that the Libyan-Chinese Joint Economic Chamber is an important platform for enhancing cooperation with China in the future.

The Minister pointed out that the MoU focuses on investing available mineral resources in sustainable ways, in addition to supporting programs to qualify and train local cadres in line with the needs of the labor market in the industrial sector.

"Building the nation is a shared responsibility that requires us all to join efforts and work in a team spirit to achieve real economic development that raises Libya's status among nations." Abu Hisa explained.
