The Libyan Ministry of Agriculture has expressed its willingness to open investment opportunities for Spanish companies in the agricultural sector, aiming to boost food production and achieve sustainable development.
During a meeting with a Spanish delegation on Monday, Deputy Minister Mohamed Akika discussed potential international agreements to enhance cooperation in the supply of pesticides, fertilizers, and agricultural equipment. The Spanish delegation included embassy representatives, business leaders, and agricultural experts.
This move follows ongoing efforts to strengthen economic ties between Libya and Spain. Last month, Libyan Minister of Tourism and Traditional Industries Nasruddin Al-Fazzani met with Spanish Ambassador Javier Soria to explore cooperation in tourism and traditional industries.
Al-Fazzani emphasized the importance of resuming direct European flights to and from Tripoli to facilitate trade and investment.
